Archers Road House

This is a new three bedroom house for a young family. It is located on an undeveloped rocky sloping site at the edge of the town of Chewton in regional Victoria on Dja Dja Wurrung country. It has views of Mount Alexander (Leanganook) to the north.

The building was designed to a tight budget. The hallway is incorporated into the overall volume of the communal room to increase the generosity of space. The roof follows the fall of the land. Internally the bedroom level looks over the living space from a balustraded walkway giving a spacial dynamic to the lower space.
